Imagine stepping back in time, say 100 years ago, but being in the present day. Seeing is believing; furniture made how it used to be, a rare site these days, but not here. Using carefully selected kiln dried timbers in both new and reclaimed pine, coupled with traditional methods of construction of a bygone age, we pride ourselves in selling furniture and kitchens of the highest quality. Solid construction throughout, morticed and tennon joints, dove-tailed drawer fronts are to name but a few of the traditional methods still used in this family run business. Generally the furniture and kitchens are sanded, stained and hand waxed, bringing the wood to life in all its glory.
We at Country Kitchens & Interiors are as adaptable as the customer wishes. We sell a great deal of furniture and kitchens unfinished, what is known in the trade as in the white. This enables the customer to stamp their own mark on their purchase and proves not only rewarding, but also helps on the pocket too! We sell all the finishing products for this process and are only too happy to give help & advise where needed.
Our Bespoke range has proved very popular with many pieces being made to measure to fit the very small spaces a lot of cottages only allow, or it can be made sectional for ease of getting up tiny staircases or any other hurdle we might encounter. Apart from removing a window or two in our time, we haven't been daunted yet!
Whether contemplating a kitchen or perhaps that made to measure bookcase to match the one bought 30 years ago, you can be sure that time and attention to detail goes into every piece, after all, if taken care of, they will be the antiques of tomorrow.
